Tree Advice

Advice to clients on condition and care of their trees, as well as assistance in selection of suitable trees for a particular site, whether as new plantings or replacement of old ones where this is a condition of Local Authority approval, such as in Conservation Areas where space is often limited and ill-advised planting or building has caused problems in the past.

Mediating with Local Authorities where tree work is regulated by Tree Preservation Orders, Conservation Areas, etc.

Woodland Management

Balancing the long term needs of trees, wildlife and other organisms, the owner’s requirements and the wider environment.

Much of what I do here falls in the Voluntary Sector on Scout and Girl Guiding properties, using volunteer labour thus offering enormous opportunities for young people to learn skills and respect for the environment the way I did.
